V51.E13 Royal Navy Captain Eardley-Wilmot gives Ericsson credit for the construction of a turreted warship but strongly implies C. P. Coles conceived of the idea before Ericsson. Eardley-Wilmot does not give Ericsson credit for the design the inventor offered to the Emperor of France about the same time Coles developed his plan for the British navy. The author remarks on HMS Royal Sovereign, HMS Captain, HMS Inflexible, and HMS Devastation.

York: This prophetic piece released before the Battle of Hampton Roads is critical of McClellan, and signals the dangers of the Virginia. It shows the fear generated by Confederate ironclads.

TA7.E68 The Committee of the Centennial omitted Ericsson and his labors connected with mechanics physics. As a result, he deemed it proper to publish a statement of his labors. This publication is heavily illustrated.
